Job Summary Job Summary A Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist (LCRS) is an instructional leader with specialized knowledge in current research around literacy development and acquisition, evidence-based practices, English Language Arts Standards, English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework, as well as the knowledge of how to work with adult learners. The LCRS provides collegial, job-embedded support to ensure literacy instruction is data-informed and student centered. LCRSs accomplish this by collaborating with leaders and teachers, engaging in practices such as co-teaching, co-planning, modeling, reflective conversations and data analysis to build capacity that improves student literacy achievement. Additionally, this position supports the site's MTSS process by developing and implementing interventions for students in need of targeted literacy support These services are supplementary to the district's core literacy program. LCRSs work under the direction of the site administration and do not evaluate any staff. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Bilingual candidates are desired.
