Box Truck Driver

Box Truck Driver Summary:

Responsibility for the daily pickup and drop off passenger tires and passenger tire equivalents. Responsible for safe vehicle operations and on time performance in a manner consistent with company customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations:

o Maintain and operate company truck in accordance with federal, and state DOT regulations as well as local laws and regulations. o Performs preventative maintenance on vehicle as directed my manager. o Follow instructions; locate load tires in accordance with daily route. o Pick up, load and unload tires, verify loads for accuracy, and drop them as instructed. o Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance. o Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always. Pre-inspect and post truck on a daily basis. o Complete and verify paperwork (electronic and physical) for accuracy. o Establish, implement, and maintain the safe efficient pickup of customer tires. Apply sound and courteous communication with all customers.

Quality:

o Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion. o Ensures the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding the tire pickup and drop-off process. q

Equipment/Safety:

Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment. q

Safety, Sanitation, Security:

Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Ensure compliance in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

As assigned by Management.

Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Qualifications:

• Class C or higher license. Drive and operate 18' to 24' box trucks. Clean driving record a must.
• Ability to lift 20 - 30 pound repeatedly throughout the day.
• Listening and verbal communication skills
• Dependability Education and/or

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL -

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
