Job Description

Jamie Hollander Catering & Events is an award-winning special events caterer located in Bristol, Pennsylvania. We are full-service event planners at off-site events and at our historic, exclusive venues: Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Bartram's Garden, and the Pearl S. Buck Estate.

Overview:
Our Event Operations Team is responsible for the successful delivery, set up, pickup, and inventorying of equipment for all catered events. They will also have general warehouse tasks including but not limited to washing and polishing dishes/warehouse equipment, maintenance and upkeep of catering equipment, vehicles, and warehouse facilities.
Responsibilities:
Driver
  • complete delivery/pick-up cycle: Must be able to drive a box truck (non-CDL) Properly load trucks with catering equipment specified by the Event Packlist provided by Director of Operations and Warehouse Manager
  • equipment consists of: china, flatware, glassware, operations equipment, specialty rentals
Delivery Cycle:
Load equipment onto vehicle at the warehouse Drive vehicle to venue (box truck, non-CDL) Unload vehicle at the venue; able to follow a site-map, floor plans, pack lists, and detailed instructions from operations management Ability to assist with event set-up as needed Return to warehouse Complete and submit delivery report Manage a team of 1-2 individuals
Pick-up Cycle:
Drive to venue Load equipment onto vehicle at the venue Check Pack List before departing
  • all items should be loaded (specialty rental items, etc); able to follow site-map, floor plans,pack lists, and detailed instructions from operations management Venue inventories and venue cleaning duties Drive vehicle back to warehouse Unload vehicle Complete and submit pick-up report Manage a team of 1-2 individuals Vehicle maintenance Daily pre trip vehicle inspections Clean company vehicles Fuel company vehicles Assists Warehouse Manager with vehicle maintenance Warehouse Able to assist with general warehouse tasks Assists with dishwashing cycle washing and polishing•china, glassware, flatware and other catering equipment putting away•china, glassware, flatware and other catering equipment inventorying•china, glassware, flatware and other catering equipment Assist with staging and packing event equipment Check in product and supply deliveries Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, and workstations neat Perform weekly inventories on supplies and equipment Venue Management Execute opening and closing duties at event sites Cleaning/upkeep and proper storage of all catering equipment at venues Cleaning/upkeep of event space, restroom trailers, and properties Inventory and restock venue supplies Delegate inventory and cleaning responsibilities to others, following standardized work orders
Requirements:
Flexible schedule due to catering event schedule, including weekend/evening availability, must be available to work holidays when needed Physical standards
  • Must meet the minimum physical standards set up by JHGF.
  • physical standards include ability to lift 50 pounds, carry 25 pounds, and stand for 6-8 hours a day and pass a DOT physical (JHGF provided) Driver's license
  • Must maintain a current valid automobiles driver's license Driving record
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and submit annual state driving records in a timely manner Pass a JHGF administered driving test.
Experience driving a box truck is preferred. Any previous driving experience will be verified through reference requests.
Anticipated Schedule, Seasonal:
(subject to change based on business demands): Thursday
  • Monday 30-40 hours/week Working Conditions Working conditions involve noise, heat, changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.
May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the work load and staffing.
