Box Truck Local Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Local Driver to join our team. Must be a US citizen or legal with papers. This role involves local route driving, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience operating box trucks and a strong understanding of safe driving practices. Duties Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries along designated routes Load and unload cargo using ] pallet jacks, lift gates, and manual handling as needed Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Maintain accurate delivery documentation and route logs Ability to deliver pallets to local stores (with lift gate) and warehouses. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks efficiently to meet delivery deadlines Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading pallets. Experience operating electric and manual pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients Valid driver's license with a clean MVR. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly during shifts Knowledge of local routes especially in the Metropolitan NY & NJ area and navigation tools for efficient route driving This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining safety standards.
