BPAT/FOG

Specialist To perform detailed clerical and administrative work in receiving and entering backflow prevention assembly tester (BPAT) and fats, oils and grease (FOG) data into the

division's record keeping system. The employee will have the responsibility of: Manages all clerical components of the back-flow device testing process from mailing initial notices to AS400 updates.

Inputs and maintains state mandated BPAT, CSI, and FOG data in the XC2 management software.

Prepares BPAT, CSI and FOG files for state audits.

Creates work orders for BPAT and FOG personnel.

Maintains an updated list of approved back-flow testers and the calibration of their testing equipment.

Accurately communicates with testers and owner on how to size, install, and properly maintain equipment.

Reviews, scans, downloads and maintains records of all pump manifests for grease traps, sand traps, oil water separators and lint traps.

Calculates and administer wastewater surcharges for failure to comply with City of Killeen wastewater discharge ordinance.

Maintains records of waste haulers registered to work within the City of Killeen.

Maintains computer-based records of all pump manifests to ensure all facility's stay in compliance with the City mandated 90 day minimum pump schedule.

Creates and maintains detailed logs, documentation, filing systems and reportsTakes and works to resolve customer complaints.

Prepares records, such as notices and resolutions/ordinances.

Composes, types, and edits a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness.

Inputs data to standard office and department forms; makes simple postings to accounts; compiles data for various reports.

Receives the public and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others and refers, when necessary, to appropriate persons.

Assists with annual budget.

Answers in-coming calls and routes callers or provides information, as required.

Operates a City vehicle.

Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations; possesses and maintains a valid driver's license, if required, and complies with City of Killeen driving policy accordingly. 1. Graduation from a high school 2. Three (3) years of experience with data entry, record keeping, compliance tracking, compliance auditing, office management, or closely related experience; or, 3. Any equivalent combination of related education and experience.

1. Employee must have a valid Texas driver's license by date of hire;2. Ability to complete all required FEMA courses •
