Job Description
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating brake presses to fabricate and form metal parts with precision. The Brake Press Operator will ensure that parts meet quality standards, adhere to safety protocols, and are produced efficiently to meet production schedules.Key Responsibilities :
Operate brake press machines to bend, form, or shape metal sheets according to engineering drawings and specifications. Set up and adjust machines, ensuring proper tooling, dies, and material are in place. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine the specifications of the part to be fabricated. Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and to make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy. Inspect finished products for conformity to specifications using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and gauges). Perform routine maintenance on brake press machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area. Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of sheets or coils onto the machine. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Document production and maintenance activities as required.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus. Proven experience operating brake press machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Proficient in the use of measuring instruments to ensure quality standards. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to following safety procedures. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and handle materials as needed.Preferred Skills :
Experience with CNC brake presses or advanced machinery. (Amada) Familiarity with various metal types, thicknesses, and their specific handling requirements. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine controls.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Employees also frequently bend, twist, and reach and stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Job consists of working in a manufacturing facility. Job could consist of making changes by hand or by running machinery equipment.Job Type:
