Position SummaryThe Event Staff team member provides support during community events, fairs, and markets by assisting with customer service, merchandising, inventory organization, sales support, and creating a welcoming and elevated client experience.

This is an on-call position with shifts scheduled based on upcoming events and business needs. Ideal candidates are dependable, positive, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced retail event environment.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWelcome and assist customers in a warm, professional, and engaging mannerSupport the overall customer experience by answering questions and assisting with purchasesOperate an iPad-based point-of-sale/cash register systemMaintain booth presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising displays throughout the eventRestock merchandise and assist with inventory organizationAssist with booth setup and breakdown before and after eventsPack, move, and organize merchandise, display materials, tables, and equipmentFollow company procedures related to sales handling, inventory tracking, and customer interactionsWork collaboratively with team members while also being able to work independently with minimal supervisionRepresent the brand professionally at all timesQualificationsPrior retail, customer service, hospitality, or event experience preferredComfortable interacting with the public in a friendly and professional mannerAbility to operate an iPad and learn point-of-sale systemsStrong communication and organizational skillsDependable, punctual, and adaptableAbility to work weekends and flexible event-based schedulesAbility to work with minimal supervisionPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 25 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time during event shiftsAbility to see, hear, speak, and communicate effectively with customers and team membersAbility to bend, reach, move merchandise, and assist with booth setup and breakdown activitiesWork EnvironmentThis position primarily works outdoors at fairs, festivals, and farmers markets throughout San Diego County. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, crowds, noise levels, and extended periods of standing and walking.
