Full-time Litigation Legal Secretary Location:
Carlsbad, CA (On-Site)
Compensation:
Up to $110,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours/week (8:30 AM
  • 5:00 PM, 30-minute lunch)

Civil Litigation Position Overview We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join our fast-paced civil litigation practice in Carlsbad, CA. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong, hands-on expertise in litigation procedures, court rules, and deadline management. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys in a busy practice. Accurately manage and maintain court calendaring, including all statutory, local rule, and court-ordered deadlines. Prepare, revise, and proofread a wide variety of legal documents, including: Pleadings Motions Discovery requests and responses Legal correspondence Coordinate electronic and physical filings in state and federal courts, ensuring strict compliance with all procedural rules. Assist with corporate counsel matters as needed, including drafting and formatting documents. Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, client meetings, and trial logistics. Maintain well-organized electronic and physical case files with exceptional attention to detail. Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary (required). Demonstrated, hands-on knowledge of: Civil procedure Court rules Litigation deadlines (critical requirement) Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and e-filing platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism, reliability, and discretion in handling confidential information.
