//www.jnj.com/medtech The Global Brand Protection Organization at Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Brand Protection Analytics Co-Op to join its Illicit Trade Analytics (ITA) team during the Fall 2026 Semester, based out of the Raritan, NJ office. The Co-op term is from July to December, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
Purpose:
The Global Brand Protection (GBP) Organization's mission is to protect patients and consumers and contribute to business success by safeguarding people and brand equity against the risks posed by illicit trade - product counterfeiting, tampering and illegal diversion. This role will focus on developing and delivering insights to protect patients from illicit trade, including counterfeiting and product tampering. The Brand Protection Analytics Co-Op will collaborate closely with data engineers, visualization experts, and data scientists to analyze risks and threats, utilizing machine learning and AI techniques. The position involves creating analytics-based reports and presentations to effectively communicate data-driven stories. Role will span across the Global Brand Protection Data & Analytics and Product Protection Laboratory teams.
You will be responsible:
Develop and deliver impactful data-driven insights to protect patients from illicit trade. Collaborate with data engineers, data visualization developers, and data scientists. Support AI tool development by collecting and preparing training data, documenting functional and data requirements, and executing user acceptance testing (UAT) Analyze and assess risks and threats from counterfeiting, diversion, and tampering. Apply signal-detection methods, machine learning, and AI to identify illicit trade signals. Develop analytics-based reports and presentations using PowerBI Support the Product Protection Forensics Laboratory by: Analyzing counterfeit and diverted samples using forensic analysis methods Recording sample and test data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Support communications and training on product protection security features, including creating presentations and training materials Support with ad-hoc projects as needed. Qualifications /
Requirements:
Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required. Currently pursuing a bachelor's and master's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related technical field. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively.
Preferred:
Knowledge of open-source programming languages such as R and Python. Experience with database management tools. Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or
STEM OPT
usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship. The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
