Broadcast Audio Engineer

Position Overview The Broadcast Audio Engineer is responsible for mixing online audio for Sunday morning worship services (9:30a and 11:00a) and other special events as requested. The ideal candidate will have a heart for reaching people for Christ while striving to capture the atmosphere in the Worship Center and have it translate to engage our online viewers and ultimately, glorifying God through providing excellent audio. Compensation $25/hr Responsibilities Attend rehearsals (Wednesdays 8-10p) as well as mix live band and preaching during Sunday Worship (7:30a-12:30p) (live band 20-30 channels, plus an additional 10 aux inputs: preaching, videos, ambient) Manage online audio systems signal flow Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as they arise Listen to the rehearsal tracks for music in advance Must have a teachable spirit while bringing your professional experience and knowledge to the team Assist FOH Engineer with setup and strike equipment (as needed) Assist tech ministry budgeting, acquiring and maintaining AVL equipment Research and develop opportunities for growth personally and for the broadcast ministry Provide support for additional events that arise throughout the year (conferences, evening worship, weddings, funerals, outside bookings) Required Qualifications Self-Starter, Problem Solver, Technician, Christ Follower, Team Player 3-5 years audio specific, live production experience is required. Well versed in mixing a variety of live music instruments, voices and music styles in a broadcast/studio setting Dante level 1 certification. Skilled in troubleshooting digital audio systems with the ability to think quickly in high stress situations Able to take direction, work in team settings and receive feedback Good communication skills Team player willing to jump in perform other tech related duties as assigned To apply send resume with cover letter to bgreene@christchurchva.org
