Job Description

About this Job Delgado Community College is a dynamic, open-admissions community college providing high-quality education through innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. The College offers a variety of academic and workforce programs through the Associate degree and is committed to nurturing and sustaining an inclusive culture to support student success. We're seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team in the Office of Student Financial Assistance. The Office of Student Financial Assistance supports students in the areas of financial aid. The successful candidate must have great customer service and must be highly adaptable and flexible. Join our team of exceptional faculty and staff! Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.
Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Reviews multiple screens in the Banner system to gather information on the student account. Reviews, accesses and processes student documents adhering to department and college policy and procedures (including transcripts, immunizations, and other pertinent documents). Closes out and completes a student/customer case list daily. Prepares and sends emails to various students. Scans and links the required student's documents on Image Now.

Appointment Type:
Part-time (WAE) Temporary appointment and is not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period. All new hires will be subject to employment eligibility verification via the federal government's E-verify system, background investigation, and previous employment verification.
