Front Desk & Visitor Services Greet veterans, families, volunteers, donors, community partners, and other visitors Maintain a welcoming and professional front-office environment Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and general inquiries Sign in visitors and ensure appropriate visitor records are maintained Determine the general purpose of each visit and connect individuals with the appropriate S2S staff member, program, or appointment Receive documents, donations, mail, and other materials and route them appropriately Assist with general filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and office organization Maintain confidentiality when handling veteran, donor, volunteer, and organizational information Food Pantry Responsibilities Welcome and sign in individuals utilizing the S2S food pantry Verify and maintain required pantry sign-in information Guide individuals through the pantry and assist them with the pantry process Help ensure pantry policies and procedures are followed Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining pantry shelves Receive, sort, and organize food donations Help monitor pantry inventory and identify items that need to be replenished Maintain an orderly, clean, and welcoming pantry area Assist with pantry-related records and reporting as needed Administrative Support Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Founder/Director and Operations & Compliance Manager, including: Manage and maintain appointment and meeting calendars Schedule and confirm appointments Help coordinate meetings with veterans, community partners, vendors, Board members, and other stakeholders Assist with scheduling and preparing for Board meetings Help organize Board meeting materials, agendas, documents, and correspondence as directed Send meeting reminders and confirmations Assist with maintaining organized electronic and physical files Draft or prepare basic correspondence, emails, letters, and documents Assist with tracking deadlines, appointments, events, and follow-up items Assist with office supplies, mail, copying, scanning, and other administrative needs Provide general support for special projects assigned by the Director or Operations & Compliance Manager Social Media & Communications Assist with maintaining S2S social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram Post approved S2S announcements, events, programs, donation needs, volunteer opportunities, and community information Help maintain a consistent social media presence Assist with basic graphics, flyers, photographs, and promotional content Help promote S2S events, fundraisers, programs, and community partnerships Monitor basic social media messages and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member Ensure content is reviewed or approved as required before publication Events, Volunteers & General Program Support Assist with volunteer sign-in and basic volunteer coordination Help prepare materials and supplies for S2S programs and events Assist with donation drives and distributions Help maintain event, volunteer, pantry, and donation records Assist with setup and breakdown for events and meetings Support S2S staff with community programs and special projects Perform other reasonable duties necessary to support S2S operations and its mission Qualifications Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with veterans and members of the public Strong organizational and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned tasks Comfortable answering phones and communicating through email Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, calendars, and data entry Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram Ability and willingness to learn new computer systems and office procedures Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small nonprofit team Previous experience in administrative support, reception, customer service, social media, nonprofit work, food pantry operations, or community service is preferred but not required Veterans and military-connected applicants are encouraged to apply Compensation $12.00-$15.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is an in-person position at the Salute 2 Service office in Bristol, Pennsylvania. We're looking for someone who is dependable, personable, organized, and willing to pitch in. Because S2S is a small nonprofit, no two days are exactly the same. One day may involve managing appointments and preparing for a Board meeting, while another may include helping veterans through the pantry, posting an upcoming event on Facebook, receiving donations, and assisting staff with an administrative project. The ideal candidate doesn't need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, communicates well, treats veterans and visitors with respect, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.
Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
