Your Role:

T he EMS Medical Collections Specialist will be in office .

They will be responsible for:

Work Self Pay aging Analyze accounts insuring Patient Demographics are correct & Insurance has been billed appropriately Call patients to discuss balance, collect payments & set up payment plans as needed Process Return mail Assist in preparing refunds Verify Insurance eligibility via multiple websites Assist with Probate/Estates Problem solving skills Computer knowledge & Excel knowledge Ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to work in high volume setting Excellent communication & organizational skills Keep a professional demeanor when speaking to patients Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years experience in medical collections, billing, or insurance verification required With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
