Duties:

The Medical Biller

• AR & Denials Specialist is responsible for managing the revenue cycle process including charge review, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, and appeals. This role ensures timely reimbursement by maintaining clean claims, resolving denied claims, and communicating effectively with insurance carriers.
• Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
• Enter coded data into the billing system accurately and efficiently
• Verify insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing issues

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or coding
• Proficient in

ICD-9, ICD-10

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
