Medical Billing & Coding Specialist Full-Time | 100% On-Site We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to join our growing medical practice. This is a combined coding and billing position for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the revenue cycle—from reviewing provider documentation and accurately coding encounters through claim submission, denial resolution, AR follow-up, and appeals. Our practice includes Family Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and ancillary services , including nursing visits, X-rays, ultrasounds, injections, and other services billed under supervising physicians. What You'll Do You will: Review provider documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Apply appropriate modifiers, add-on codes, injection/infusion codes, and other procedure-specific coding requirements. Maintain a target 24-hour coding turnaround . Initially support coding for up to four providers , with the opportunity to expand to approximately six providers as you become comfortable with our workflows. Provide occasional coding or billing coverage during team absences or periods of clinic growth. Submit and review claims for accuracy. Work AR aging reports and follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims. Research and resolve claim rejections and denials. Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals. Work directly with providers to resolve documentation deficiencies, coding questions, and billing discrepancies. Assist with Workers' Compensation and Occupational Medicine billing. Code applicable quality-reporting measures, including

MIPS/CPT

Category II codes, and support HCC coding when appropriate. Review and code in-house and cash-pay services. Document and track billing workflows using eClinicalWorks and Google Workspace. We're Looking for Someone Who Has Active CPC or CCS-P certification preferred . Experience coding Family Medicine, Primary Care, Urgent Care, or similar outpatient services. Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and professional billing. Hands-on experience with accounts receivable, denials, corrected claims, and appeals. Experience communicating directly with physicians regarding documentation or billing issues. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while meeting daily deadlines. Proficiency with Google Sheets, Docs, and Gmail. The ability to work 100% on-site, full-time in a fast-paced medical practice. Strongly Preferred Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) . Workers' Compensation or Occupational Medicine billing experience. Injection and infusion coding experience. Experience coding cash-pay or in-house services. Familiarity with

Category II and HCC coding. Experience independently supporting multiple providers. What Success Looks Like The right person will be able to balance coding accuracy with revenue-cycle follow-through. You should be comfortable identifying problems, researching solutions, communicating with providers, and following a claim through resolution rather than simply completing one portion of the billing process.
