Medical Billing Specialist Live Oak Foot & Ankle is seeking to hire a billing specialist. Full or part-time hires will be considered. Must have experience in medical billing and have reliable transportation as there will be time spent in both our Ocala and Summerfield locations. Resolve coding insurance/clearinghouse rejection, denials, submission errors Perform daily posting of insurance and patient payments Reconcile insurance payments to ensure accuracy and completeness Insurance follow-up for no response, denials and correspondence Follow up with 3rd party payers on claims not paid according to contract. Handle correspondence from insurance companies Ensure claims are sent within timely filing deadlines as dictated by each insurer Insurance verification Claims scrubbing for electronic submission Ensure accuracy of patient/insurance information coverage before billing. Ensure we have authorizations for the claims before billing. Take patient phone calls/assist with account questions; take payments. Balance collections every day. Adhere to HIPAA security and privacy policies Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
