Role Description The Billing and Insurance Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Canton and Alpharetta, GA. This role is responsible for managing patient insurance information, verifying coverage and benefits, and accurately entering data into practice management systems. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and submitting insurance claims, following up on pending or denied claims, and reconciling payments and adjustments. The coordinator will answer billing and insurance questions from patients and caregivers, provide clear explanations of statements and balances, and assist with payment arrangements when needed. This role works closely with clinical and front office teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely claim processing, and a smooth financial experience for patients and families. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Insurance and Health Insurance processes, including benefit verification and coverage coordination. Experience handling Insurance Claims, including submission, tracking, and resolution of denied or delayed claims. Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally and clearly with patients, caregivers, and team members. Attention to detail and accuracy in billing, data entry, and record keeping, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with dental or medical billing software and basic proficiency with standard office applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulatory requirements. Prior experience in a dental or healthcare office billing/insurance role preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical/dental billing is a plus.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
