Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to our patients and their families by facilitating clear and professional communication with therapists and all other staff members. Verify insurance benefits and billing information accurately. Obtain and monitor authorizations to avoid delay or lapse in care. Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies, both electronically and via paper when needed. Resubmit or correct claims as needed and resolve billing issues with insurance payors. Assess claims for accuracy and completeness; document billing activity and collection efforts in clear, legible notes. Respond to patient billing questions and handle complaints professionally. Copy and coordinate payment information for secondary insurance billing. Complete medical records requests from payors. Manage the workflow of assigned accounts and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Review and bill medical reports. Perform other administrative duties as assigned in a timely manner. Qualification and Skill Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in billing or client services. Proficient in computer and EMR systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of insurance denials and appeals processes. Familiarity with medical billing Clearinghouses. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Understanding of HIPAA and relevant state/federal confidentiality regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to work at a computer desk station for extended periods of time.
