• Overview:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and terminology to ensure accurate and timely processing of medical claims.

• Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and other coding systems to assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures
• Process medical claims for reimbursement from insurance companies and patients
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the billing system
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit when necessary
• Adhere to all relevant regulations, including HIPAA guidelines

• Requirements:

• Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and terminology
• Experience with medical collection systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of medical office procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
