It also offers Interim Financial Management to help organizations navigate leadership transitions and maintain financial stability. In addition, The Wright Group provides full-service third-party billing, helping clients optimize reimbursement and strengthen their overall financial performance. Role Description The Part-Time Medicaid Biller will work remotely, supporting accurate and timely Medicaid billing for post-acute care providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and submitting Medicaid claims, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with state and federal billing regulations. The role involves following up on outstanding claims, resolving denials, and communicating with payers and internal teams to clarify documentation and billing requirements. The Medicaid Biller will maintain detailed records, support reporting on billing activity, and collaborate with finance and operations staff to improve revenue cycle processes. This is a part-time position with scheduled on-site hours. Qualifications Experience with New York Medicaid billing processes, including claim preparation, submission, and follow-up. Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, including accounts receivable management, denials resolution, and payer requirements. Familiarity with post-acute care settings (such as skilled nursing or rehabilitation) and related billing practices is preferred. Proficiency with Matrix Care billing software and electronic health records, along with strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to interpret insurance and Medicaid policy guidelines and apply them to day-to-day billing activities. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage part-time on-site workload effectively. Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with payers, providers, and internal colleagues. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is beneficial. Demonstrated commitment to ethical billing practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
