In this vital role, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring accurate and timely processing of healthcare claims, managing patient accounts, and optimizing revenue cycle operations. Your expertise will help healthcare providers maximize their reimbursements . This position offers an opportunity to put to use your skills in medical coding, claims management. Customer service will directly impact the efficiency and our belief is in helping the patients complete their financial commitment for the services received. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end medical billing processes, including claim submission, posting payments, and resolving denials to ensure prompt reimbursement. Review and code medical procedures using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications to guarantee accurate claim processing. Monitor healthcare claims management systems and EMR/EHR (Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records) systems to track claim status and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims. Communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to clarify billing issues, gather necessary documentation, and expedite collections. Maintain detailed records of medical records, billing transactions, and collection efforts while adhering to compliance standards. Stay updated on health insurance policies, coding changes, and industry regulations to ensure compliance and optimize revenue recovery. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and resolving billing discrepancies promptly. Skills Strong knowledge of medical coding including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, ICD coding systems, and DRG classifications. Proven experience with medical collection processes and healthcare claims management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with billing software and EMR/EHR systems. In-depth understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management. Ability to navigate complex healthcare claims processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, patients, and team members. Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly desirable. Help us ensure smooth financial operations within the healthcare industry!
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 10.0 per week
