Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Medical Data Entry Clerk for a contract/temporary opportunity in Calabasas, CA. This role is ideal for an administrative professional with healthcare experience, strong data entry accuracy, and familiarity with medical terminology. The Medical Data Entry Clerk will support patient chart updates, coordinate information across departments, and provide professional phone-based support to medical patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Contact medical patients by phone to verify and update demographic information in patient charts.
  • Accurately enter, review, and maintain patient data within healthcare systems.
  • Coordinate patient care information with internal departments as needed.
  • Use medical terminology appropriately when reviewing and updating patient records.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service during patient interactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive patient information. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $20 per hour.

    Calabasas, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Conduct patient outreach calls to update demographic information.
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient chart data.
  • Coordinate patient care details with other departments.
  • Support healthcare administrative workflows with accuracy and professionalism.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant administrative, data entry, or healthcare support experience.
  • Exposure to medical terminology.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Professional phone communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage repetitive data entry tasks efficiently. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare services environment, or patient records role.
  • Experience updating patient demographics or working with electronic medical records.
  • Strong ability to communicate with patients and internal healthcare teams.
