Role Description The Egocentric Data Collector is a contract, on-site role based in Remote, OR. In this position, the individual will collect, organize, and validate egocentric data through interviews, surveys, and direct observations aligned with project requirements. The role involves accurately recording personal network and relationship data, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical and data protection standards. The Egocentric Data Collector will collaborate with project leads to clarify data needs, follow structured protocols, and provide regular progress updates. The role may also include preparing basic reports or summaries of findings and supporting quality assurance checks on collected data. Qualifications Strong data collection and documentation skills, including experience with surveys, interviews, or field research. Ability to follow detailed protocols and work with structured processes and guidelines. Basic analytical skills to identify inconsistencies, verify data accuracy, and summarize key findings. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with participants and team members. High level of integrity, respect for confidentiality, and adherence to ethical data handling practices. Comfort working on-site in Remote, OR and ability to manage time and tasks with minimal supervision. Proficiency with common digital tools for data entry and record keeping (e.g., spreadsheets, data collection software). Relevant experience in research, social sciences, data collection, or a related field; a post-secondary degree is an advantage but not required.
