They build trusting relationships, promote self-advocacy, connect individuals to community resources, and help increase independence, wellness, and quality of life. Peer Support Specialists work alongside clinical providers as part of a recovery-oriented team while empowering people to identify their strengths and make informed choices about their care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one peer support and recovery coaching. Encourage hope, self-advocacy, and personal goal setting. Assist individuals in connecting with community resources and supports.
