Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credentialing Specialist to join Full Smile Management! The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and knowledgeable in provider credentialing and enrollment processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our dental providers are properly credentialed, enrolled, and compliant, supporting seamless patient care and the operational success of our practices. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of provider credentialing, re-credentialing, enrollment, and privileging for dental providers across Full Smile Management's clinical entities. This position works closely with providers, practice leadership, insurance carriers, and internal teams to maintain accurate records, ensure timely renewals, and uphold compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; track application status and follow up as needed Coordinate initial and ongoing enrollment with dental and medical insurance carriers in accordance with payer guidelines Maintain current, accurate provider data in credentialing databases and online systems Track and manage expirations for licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice coverage, and certifications to ensure timely renewal Support dental provider onboarding by managing all credentialing and enrollment requirements Maintain corporate provider contract files and ensure practice addresses and provider details remain current with payers and agencies Conduct fee negotiations and analyze data on high-volume billing codes when necessary Audit payer directories to ensure accuracy and compliance Communicate effectively with providers, practice managers, and internal teams to obtain documentation and resolve credentialing issues Provide credentialing and privileging verifications upon request Ensure strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling provider information Remain current on payer, agency, and regulatory credentialing requirements Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned Your work directly supports provider readiness, operational compliance, and the long-term success of our dental practices. Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of provider credentialing experience Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field Dental provider credentialing experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of credentialing, enrollment, and re-credentialing processes Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to research, analyze data, and resolve issues independently Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision while collaborating with cross-functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet-based credentialing systems Why Full Smile?
