Overview We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support a retired physician, entrepreneur, and community leader on a variety of professional, research, and civic projects. The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, intellectually curious, and enjoys figuring things out. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated college student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience working directly alongside an accomplished professional. This position is flexible for part-time and full-time. Once familiar with the role, can be completed remotely. In this position, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects while developing valuable professional skills that will benefit you throughout your career. What You'll Do Organize and develop efficient digital filing systems. Draft, edit, proofread, and format professional correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents. Conduct thorough research on unfamiliar topics and procedures, identifying reliable sources and presenting accurate, well-organized findings. Assist with daily administrative and executive support tasks. Manage and maintain social media accounts and online content. Coordinate schedules, meetings, appointments, and project deadlines. Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up documentation. Represent the principal at community meetings, City Council meetings, public comment sessions, networking events, and other civic functions when appropriate. Communicate professionally with community members, organizations, and public officials. Prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and administrative processes. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a college degree. Educational or professional background in healthcare, education, public administration, communications, business, or a related field is strongly preferred. Highly proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software quickly. Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, Grok, or similar technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research and analytical abilities. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
