Main Street of Perry is now hiring! We currently are seeking candidates to apply for a part-time position in the Main Street office.

Executive Assistant ​
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Executive Assistant organizes and facilitates Main Street Perry events while coordinating with community partners, organizations, board members, volunteers, businesses, and stakeholders. They maintain strong relationships, manage social media and calendar updates, work closely with the Executive Director, and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and thoughtful manner.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Effective communication skills and not afraid to talk to people on the phone or in person. Excellent, friendly, helpful customer service. Creative problem solving, often on the spot while remaining calm. Follow instructions yet work independently and collaborate with teams. Able to keep information confidential. Take on challenges with optimism. Communicating effectively between the director, board members, committee chairs, volunteers, downtown businesses, community partners and the public. Attending committee and board meetings, taking note of what members have agreed toaccomplish and following up regularly. Collaborating via Google /Microsoft to plan events and projects. Setting up and tearing down events, with volunteers.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Answering phone, checking mail, making deposits and front office duties. Posting on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Delivering Flyers to downtown businesses. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Preparing for events/ working events. Helps write award nominations. Keeping record of times worked. Attends State training as needed. Other duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Considered a part-time position, 10-20 hours per week, excluding time at events. Flexible workdays and will be set up by the Executive Director. All or MOST of these event days: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Holiday Events, plus attend committee meetings.
