full-time Company Description The Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) is a voluntary state organization representing approximately 4,700 member dentists across Pennsylvania. As a constituency of the American Dental Association, PDA is part of the ADA, the largest and oldest national dental society in the world. The association is dedicated to serving the public, improving oral health, and promoting the art and science of dentistry. PDA also focuses on representing the interests of its members and the communities they serve, offering professional support, advocacy, and resources to advance the dental profession. Role Description The Executive Assistant is a full-time, on-site role (up to 1 day/week remote ok) based in Harrisburg, PA, providing comprehensive support to the executive director and board.
Sample responsibilities include:
writing minutes; preparing agendas and materials for board and committee meetings, plus annual convention; drafting correspondence for ED, president and other leaders; maintenance of records and database; managing calendars and incoming communications; scheduling meetings. The role also involves general administrative support such as handling office logistics, assisting with event coordination, and supporting special projects as assigned by leadership. Overnight travel (two nights) to annual convention is required. Qualifications Minimum two years' related experience. Proficiency in Administrative Assistance tasks such as document preparation, filing, office coordination, and task prioritization. Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with members, executives, and external partners. Proficiency with office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort learning new systems. Familiarity with database software desirable. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Experience in a nonprofit, association, or professional membership organization is beneficial. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Salary/Benefits $46 to $52K, DOE. Annual bonus typical, though not guaranteed.
