Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Scanning Clerk is responsible to produce legible digital copies of documents for retention purposes and ensure accuracy of the scanned documents. This position is also responsible for providing administrative support to management and the client services, assisting in data entry, file management, and preparation of reports/spreadsheets.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prep and organize documents to be scanned; remove any bindings, staples, clips, etc. Scan, name, and electronically file documents effectively, ensuring that documents are legible and clean. File all paper documents in correct order; binding, collating, stapling where appropriate. Clean and perform basic maintenance on equipment, such as refill with paper and toner, keep machine free of staples, paper clips, etc. Maintain a clean and neat workspace. Manage individual workload and timesheet, ensuring that time is billed to our clients appropriately and within established budgets. Provide administrative assistance to claims department, including data entry, filing, preparation of reports and spreadsheets, preparation of reimbursement applications, uploading of documents and file management. Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Audit contents of client boxes and update systems with items found. Organize boxes and prepares documents by priorities for scanning. Conduct exit audit procedure prior to shipping out boxes. Perform quality assurance check on all client boxes to ensure that documents scanned are accurate, legible, named correctly and e-filed in right location. Complete QA feedback sheets on boxes reviewed and submit to Team Lead. Recognize documents needed for eligibility and reimbursement applications.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
General experience of 6 months ~ 1 year desirable. Experience operating a personal computer and/or document scanning equipment. Ability to use Microsoft Office software and digital file storage/ management in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally and in writing. Can maintain an organized work system with attention to detail. Physical demands may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, depending on the task. Must lift or move heavy objects, such as heavy file boxes. EDUCATION and/or

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
