Job Description
Job Overview Our Fast-Growing personal injury law firm in Burbank is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and well-versed in the California legal system, particularly in Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. This role will primarily involve assisting attorneys with various aspects of personal injury cases, including car accidents and slip/trip and fall cases. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred.
Duties Discovery:
Assist in the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
Court Filings:
Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and deposition notices, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Depositions:
Schedule and coordinate depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist with deposition preparation.
Calendar Management:
Maintain and manage case calendars, including tracking court dates, deadlines, and appointments.
Subpoenas:
Issue subpoenas for medical records, police records, and witnesses, and follow up to ensure timely responses.
Case Management:
Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and physical records, ensuring all documents are readily accessible.
Motion Practice:
Experience with motions to compel is a plus, and the ability to assist in drafting and filing motions. Skills Experience in Personal injury law law. Strong knowledge of the legal procedures and court systems in Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Spanish language proficiency .
