Competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) Hoeppner Wagner & Evans is seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Secretary to support our growing litigation practice. This position provides administrative and legal support to attorneys handling litigation, employment law, and personal injury matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being an integral part of a collaborative legal team dedicated to providing exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Prepare, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents. Coordinate trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, and hearing materials. Maintain case files and organize medical, employment, and other case-related records. Electronically file documents with state and federal courts and ensure compliance with filing deadlines. Manage attorney calendars, court dates, depositions, mediations, and other case deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, expert witnesses, and other third parties. Coordinate subpoenas, record requests, and document collection. Assist with client intake and ongoing communication Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant, preferably in litigation. Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines. High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Preferred Qualifications Experience in employment law and/or personal injury litigation. Experience preparing materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial. Ability to organize and summarize medical, employment, and other case records. Familiarity with medical record retrieval, lien resolution, and personal injury case management. Paralegal certificate or degree is a plus. Notary Public commission is preferred but not required.
