This vital role involves providing comprehensive administrative and legal support across various practice areas, ensuring the smooth operation of the law office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency with legal research and case management tools. Duties Manage and maintain legal documents, files, and case records using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare, review, and edit legal documents including pleadings, contracts, discovery materials, and correspondence with precision. Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other resources to support case development across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, civil litigation, family law, and more. Assist attorneys with case management tasks including scheduling depositions, court dates, client meetings, and maintaining calendars. Handle client communication professionally via phone and email; interview clients to gather pertinent information for cases. Support procedural law compliance by preparing filings for courts or administrative agencies in accordance with jurisdictional requirements. Proofread documents thoroughly to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to legal standards. Coordinate with external entities including courts, government agencies, clients, and vendors to facilitate document submission and information exchange. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Provide executive administrative support by managing correspondence, organizing meetings, and handling administrative tasks that enhance office productivity. Skills Extensive knowledge of legal procedures across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, family law, civil litigation support, and general & commercial litigation. Proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with procedural law requirements. Strong experience with legal case management software such as iManage and PCLaw; adept at document review and management systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in legal writing, drafting documents accurately for various legal contexts. Superior proofreading skills ensuring error-free documentation. Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing), including advanced document formatting and editing capabilities. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high ethical standards. Experience supporting attorneys in litigation cases involving personal injury claims or complex civil matters. Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis for case law analysis and legal updates. Project management abilities to coordinate multiple deadlines efficiently while supporting diverse practice areas.
