Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Assistant with 5+ years of legal office experience to support attorneys and the firm with client communication, document preparation, administrative duties, and case-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relations Maintain professional, courteous, and positive relationships with clients. Respond to client phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner. Protect and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information. Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation. Provide updates and information to attorneys and firm staff as needed. Assist with addressing client questions and concerns while maintaining professionalism. Administrative & Legal Support Prepare, organize, proofread, and manage legal documents and correspondence. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files. Ensure documents and correspondence are filed appropriately and in a timely manner. Assist attorneys with document preparation, case management, and general administrative support. Review documents carefully for spelling, grammar, formatting, and accuracy. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Time Management & Organization Plan and prioritize work based on importance, deadlines, and attorney needs. Manage multiple assignments and competing priorities effectively. Meet established deadlines and maintain high-quality work. Communicate promptly when a deadline may be difficult to meet or additional time or information is needed. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through. Professional Development Attend staff, personnel, and training meetings as required. Stay current with legal office procedures, technology, and industry practices. Participate in educational and professional development opportunities. Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to legal administration and support. Qualifications 5+ years of experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role. Strong knowledge of legal office procedures and administrative practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proofreading and document-editing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while also supporting attorneys and team members. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Professional, dependable, and client-focused demeanor. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment. Familiarity with legal terminology and document management systems. Experience managing confidential client records and correspondence. Professional certification or additional legal education is a plus. Pay:
$33.21 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
