General Summary:

The Legal Secretary provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys and legal staff within a captive law firm, The Law Offices of Benvenuto & Gaujean, dedicated to defending medical malpractice claims on behalf of EmPRO Insurance. This position is responsible for coordinating case-related activities, preparing and maintaining legal documents, managing calendars and deadlines, and facilitating communication among attorneys, clients, insurance professionals, courts, and other involved parties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare, draft, transcribe and serve all correspondence and legal documents for assigned Attorneys in the defense of medical malpractice and dental cases E-file legal documents with NYSCEF as needed Respond to requests for information from the Claims department, clients and other individuals as needed Process check requests and invoices Review accounts payable and submit same for payment Answer telephone calls as needed Other duties as assigned. All other duties deemed appropriate by management

Education & Qualifications:
