The Managed Care Biller is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to third party payors and intermediaries. The Managed Care Biller monitors and/or corrects submitted claims to ensure accurate and prompt reimbursement of claims.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

Responsible for assigned accounts and maintains a daily average of 100 claims. Reviews, corrects, and edits UB04 claim forms for electronic/hard copy claim submission in accordance with department billing policies, payor guidelines, and insurance contract requirements. Communicates errors and/or missing information regarding patient's insurance, charges, coding, etc. to the corresponding departments, billing communication logs, identifies necessary corrections, and resubmits claims returned on electronic rejection reports daily. Attends department specific training, in-services, staff meetings, etc. as requested. Abides by Ethos Management's Code of Conduct and HIPAA compliance standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills &Knowledge Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of recent hospital insurance billing experience in an automated environment. UB04 billing requirements Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge of medical terminology Understanding of CPT, ICD10, and HCPCS codes High School Diploma or equivalent required
