Records management Attention to detail Medical insurance appeals management Organizational skills Medical claims submission Full Job Description We are a growing primary care clinic in Miami seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team in-house. This is an in-person position for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in medical billing, insurance claims, and account follow-up. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of medical billing experience, preferably within a primary care setting working with Commercial and Obamacare Insurance , and be comfortable managing the full billing cycle while working closely with clinical and administrative staff. Responsibilities Submit accurate and timely medical claims to insurance companies Review claims for accuracy and completeness prior to submission Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims Research and resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) Post and reconcile insurance payments as needed Verify claim status and communicate with insurance companies regarding outstanding balances Correct and resubmit claims when necessary Identify recurring billing issues and help improve claim acceptance and reimbursement Maintain accurate billing documentation and patient account records Assist with accounts receivable and aging reports Work with providers and staff to obtain missing documentation or information needed for billing Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable billing regulations Qualifications Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience , preferably in primary care Strong experience with insurance claims submission and follow-up Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans preferred Experience using e MedicalPractice preferred Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifiers, and medical billing terminology Strong understanding of claim denials, appeals, payment posting, and accounts receivable Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies independently Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts efficiently Professional, dependable, and comfortable working as part of an in-office team Position Requirements This is an in-person, in-house position located in Hialeah, Florida. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates should be comfortable working directly from the clinic and collaborating with providers, front-office staff, and management to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Preferred Qualifications Previous billing experience in a primary care or family medicine practice Experience managing insurance denials and appeals Experience reviewing aging reports and following up on outstanding accounts What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, proactive, and able to take ownership of the billing process. The right candidate should be comfortable independently following claims from submission through payment and identifying issues that may delay reimbursement.
