Fraser Position Summary Fraser Eye Care Center is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality state-of-the-art ophthalmology services to our community. We are committed to excellence in patient care, and our team of professionals works together to ensure a positive experience for our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller at Fraser Eye Care Center, you will be responsible for submitting claims to insurance companies and following up on any unpaid claims. This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience and certifications. Skills Required Submit claims to insurance companies and follow-up on unpaid claims. Resolve discrepancies and arrange payment plans for patients. Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures. Review bills for accuracy and ensure patient eligibility. Utilize medical billing software proficiently. Code conditions and procedures using ICD1 -CM and CPT Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Proficient with computers and medical billing software Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and state Medicaid Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare companies Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with frequent interruptions Excellent problem solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Certification in Medical Billing and Coding, COPC preferred Ability to code conditions and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT Pay rate is based on certification and experience
