On-site St. Clair Shores Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to manage the specialized billing cycle for our CardioCare+ and ONEai Health remote heart-health tracking program. This innovative initiative combines wearable smart devices, patient apps, and artificial intelligence to provide continuous cardiovascular monitoring between clinic visits. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience navigating Epic EHR and managing Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) billing guidelines. You will ensure accurate reimbursement for continuous biometric surveillance, daily check-ins, and proactive clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities Epic Claims Management :
Utilize Epic EHR to prepare, scrub, and submit clean medical claims specifically for
Remote Patient Monitoring Time & Data Tracking Verification :
Audit patient data logs from the integrated Epic/ONEai Health clinical dashboard to verify that cumulative monitoring time and biometric data transmissions meet monthly insurance compliance thresholds.
Device Eligibility & Enrollment Tracking :
Confirm insurance pre-authorizations and eligibility within Epic and insurance websites for patients onboarding onto the CardioCare+ platform.
Denial Management & Appeals :
Identify, track, and resolve claim denials or rejections in Epic related to RPM coding revisions, medical necessity, or documentation gaps.
Payment Posting :
Accurately post insurance and patient payments, adjustments into systems to maintain up to date accounts receivable.
Patient Billing Support :
Address patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, deductibles, and co-pays associated with digital health monitoring and wearable devices.
Compliance Maintenance :
Stay up-to-date on rapidly evolving CMS (Medicare), Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines regarding digital health, telehealth, and AI-driven continuous care models.
Qualifications & Skills EHR Expertise :
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience using Epic EHR for medical billing, claims tracking, and work management.
Experience :
3+ years of medical billing experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) or digital health billing.
Certification :
Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Epic Resolute Billing Certification is highly preferred.
Knowledge Base :
Deep understanding of ICD-10 coding, CPT code structures for digital health, and
HCFA/CMS-1500
regulations. Attention to
