ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

codes, and DRG classifications for billing accuracy Prepare and submit clean claims using billing software and EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes, resolving discrepancies promptly Verify patient insurance coverage and explain health insurance policies to facilitate smooth reimbursement Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments received, and correspondence with insurance companies Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding issues that impact billing accuracy Stay updated on changes in medical coding standards, healthcare laws, and insurance policies to ensure compliance Experience Proven experience in medical billing, coding (including

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

), and healthcare claims management Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and health insurance procedures Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems as well as billing software platforms Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives Ability to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into accurate billing codes Prior experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred Knowledge of medical collection procedures and healthcare compliance standards is a plus

Pay:

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
