Duties Verify and input dental insurance benefits for accurate patient estimates Review medical records to verify the accuracy of diagnoses and procedures, applying appropriate CDT. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim submissions, payments received, and outstanding balances. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure proper documentation of services provided aligns with billing codes and insurance policies. Stay current with changes in medical coding standards, insurance regulations, and billing procedures to ensure compliance. Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges clearly and facilitating payment plans when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in dental or medical billing and collections within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and coding systems including

CDT, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, DRG classifications, and ICD coding standards. Familiarity with Dentrix Practice Management System Ability to accurately review medical documentation for proper coding and billing compliance. Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously. Knowledge of dental office operations including insurance processing workflows is preferred.
