Our exceptional, well-established Audiology Practice is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our team. Candidates need to be highly motivated, able to work independently, possess strong critical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. They must be willing to work in a fast-paced setting with a can-do attitude and be a team player. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Claims submission; both electronic claims submission and manual Contact insurance companies regarding denied claims Contact insurance companies and patients with questions related to billing Answer billing inquiries from patients, staff and insurance companies and resolve complaints Send appeals to insurance companies with appropriate documentation Accounts receivable aging review Manage assigned workflows to include follow up on status of claims, denials and appeals to ensure timely receipt of payment Eligibility & Benefit Check Other duties as assigned
Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance carrier rules Minimum of 1 year of Billing and Accounts Receivable experience
Skills Required:
Ability to type 40+ words-per-minute Friendly disposition and excellent communication skills Must be capable of working independently and as part of the team Ability to follow directions and systems, and maintain close attention to detail Problem solving and critical thinking skills
