Life:
Provide our patients and our customers with World Class service Update patient insurance, confirming eligibility and queue claims for billing Act in a professional manner and treat patients, co-workers, and leadership with respect at all times Make outbound calls and inbound calls for resolution of billing inquires to patients and payors Troubleshoot and identify patient billing issues Evaluate accounts from both an insurance and self-pay perspective Manage and work queues and worklists in billing system Data entry Team projects - handed out by team lead or supervisor Maintain expected performance metrics Other duties as assigned The Background we are looking for: 2 - 3 years' experience in medical collections Understanding and knowledge of medical payors from Private, Government, Workers Compensation, Auto and others Experience with medical billing software Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines and performance goals Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology Strong verbal and written communication skills Understanding of Revenue Cycle, AR follow up, Cash Follow, Denial management and or Self Pay role If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a company that values your skills and offers competitive pay, monthly bonus potential, and opportunities for growth, we want to hear from you! In-Person Requisition:
Work Arrangement:
In-Office — This position is performed on-site at Apollo MedFlight. Candidates seeking a remote work arrangement should apply to the separately posted Remote Medical Insurance Collector requisition. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of collections, accounts receivable, or similar payment-recovery experience. Demonstrated experience making outbound collection or follow-up calls and maintaining professional persistence through multiple contacts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Proficiency with computers, web-based portals, email, and standard office applications. Regular and reliable attendance and availability during assigned working hours. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of medical insurance collections, medical billing, denial management, or healthcare revenue cycle experience. Experience working with commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation, or other third-party payers. Knowledge of claim forms, remittance advice, EOBs, denial codes, appeals, timely filing requirements, and payer portals. Experience with high-dollar, complex, emergency medical transportation, or air ambulance claims. Experience using medical billing, practice management, EHR, or work-queue systems. Medical billing or coding certification, such as CPB or
