Duties Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using billing software, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements Review patient records to verify proper coding, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies and resubmit as necessary Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities, including medical records, claims status, and payment histories Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures for precise coding and billing Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to access patient information efficiently Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to billing and insurance processes Requirements Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare office administration with familiarity in medical coding and billing procedures Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management, health insurance policies, and medical terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EHR systems Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9 and ICD-10), CPT coding Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding, claim submission, and record keeping Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff Join us as a Medical Biller and be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional healthcare!
