Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a City & Court Clerk, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of municipal and judicial operations. Court-Related Duties Process citations, warrants, and court cases Schedule court dates and coordinate dockets Collect fines, fees, and payments Assist the judge, prosecutor, and attorneys during court sessions Prepare court reports and submit required state filings Financial Duties Receive and post payments (citations, permits, etc.) Enter invoices and manage accounts in systems like QuickBooks Reconcile daily receipts and prepare deposits Customer Service / Public Interaction Answer phones and respond to emails Assist residents at the front counter or service window Provide information on citations, court procedures, and city services Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Submit reports (e.g., TMRS, court activity reports) Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Experience Previous clerical or administrative experience in a legal or municipal setting is highly desirable Paralegal experience or familiarity with litigation processes will be advantageous Strong research skills to gather relevant legal or city information efficiently Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems Experience with legal drafting, filing procedures, and document management systems Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Background in customer service or public-facing roles that require clear communication and professionalism This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in legal administration within a vibrant community environment.
