Job Description

Summary The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of High Point Land Company's office while supporting an organized, professional, and positive work environment. This role serves as a central point of coordination for office operations, employee support, administrative systems, and company initiatives. The Office Manager also provides HR administrative support as needed, assisting with onboarding, offboarding, employee records, time-off administration, benefits coordination, recruiting support, and other people-related processes under the direction of the COO or designated HR leadership.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOffice Operations:
  • Oversees day-to-day office operations, ensuring the office is organized, professional, and functioning efficiently.
  • Supports company meetings, events, employee activities, and other office initiatives as needed.
  • Identifies operational needs and opportunities for improvement and works with leadership to implement solutions.
Administrative Support:
  • Provides administrative support to executive leadership and departments as needed.
  • Maintains organizational documents, forms, records, and administrative files.
  • Supports company-wide administrative communications and information.
  • Assists with projects, special assignments, and operational initiatives as directed by leadership.
  • Provides backup support for marketing and front-office functions as needed.
HR & Employee Support:
  • Provides administrative support for employee-related processes.
  • Coordinates employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system access, and required follow-up.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Assists with time-off, attendance, benefits, recruiting, and other employee-related administrative processes.
  • Supports employee communications, training, engagement, and company culture initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource for general employee questions and appropriately escalates sensitive HR, employee relations, disciplinary, or compliance matters.
  • Supports workers' compensation, unemployment, and other employment-related administrative processes as directed.
Systems, Processes & Accountability:
  • Supports administration of designated company systems and platforms, ensuring information is accurate and current.
  • Documents and improves administrative processes and workflows to promote consistency and efficiency.
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows through to completion.
  • Proactively identifies issues, recommends solutions, and communicates needs to leadership.
  • Uses sound judgment regarding matters that can be handled independently and those requiring leadership involvement.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support company operations and organizational objectives. Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Office Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in office management, administrative operations, human resources support, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly dependable with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Professional, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
  • Working knowledge of HR and employee administration practices preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and business software platforms.
  • Experience with Homebase, Monday.
com, LastPass, or similar operational platforms preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. May occasionally require standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting or moving light office materials and supplies.
Work Environment:
Professional office environment with regular use of standard office equipment, technology platforms, and communication systems. Occasional extended hours may be required to support company events, meetings, recruiting activities, or other business needs. Occasional travel may be required for company meetings, events, training, or other administrative purposes.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated office management and administrative capabilities.

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
