Eligibility Requirements:
1. Possess genuine interest in geriatric nursing 2. High school graduate 3. Experience or formal bookkeeping/accounting education 4. Formal secretarial and computer training 5. Understand Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures 6. Possess excellent verbal, human relations and organizational skills 7. Strong documentation skills 8. Ability to prioritize 9. Self-motivated and creative 10. Strong problem-solving skills 11. Ability to make independent decisions 12. Communicate effectively - written and orally
Overall Performance Requirements:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/BILLING 1
) Perform billing for both facilities; Medicare & Medicaid, complete Medicaid applications, and MEDI checks. 2) Check new admissions insurances through Inovalon/Ability. Verify insurance eligibility. 3) Prepare, send and maintain accurate accounts of monthly resident charges (ancillaries). 4) Complete accounts receivable with Accounting agency monthly & prepare reports. 5) Write checks through PCC to residents, employees or vendors for purchases or refunds. 6) Prepare correspondence and reports as directed. 7) Perform Long-term care billing for both facilities. 8) Reconcile checking account statements- ACCOUNTING AGENCY will complete reconciliations. 9) Maintain orderly storage system for office supplies - ordering supplies as needed. Maintain residents financial records essential to the Center's operation. 10) Forward flu and pneumonia vaccinations to Medicare once a year with Accounting Agency. 11) Receive telephone calls and direct to necessary people. 12. Prepare and send financial and business reports as requested to governmental agencies, accounting firm, and the Board monthly and as needed. 13. Prepare bank deposit slips for Administrators/make bank deposits. 14. Check censuses daily and forward to appropriate parties. 15. Maintain petty cash funds. 16. Assist auditor in annual financial audit. 17. Manage and report resident trust funds. Reports quarterly to residents and their responsible parties.
