Job Description

Job Summary Farmington Dermatologists is a well established Dermatology practice in Farmington. We are looking for a warm, dependable, and empathetic Office Administrator to join our team. Our goal is to have an office where patients feel comfortable and confident, and team members feel valued. We are committed to providing high quality, personalized care for every patient. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys engaging with patients, communicates well with a wide range of personalities and contributes to a positive and supportive team environment. Medical office experience is preferred, but we will train the right person who has a great attitude, is eager to learn and has a genuine interest in working with patients. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner helping them feel welcome, comfortable, and confident throughout their visit Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Answer and direct incoming phone calls Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility Collect copayments and outstanding balances Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Process patient registration and Manage appointment calendars and provider schedules Handle referrals, authorizations, and medical record requests Respond to patient inquiries regarding office policies and procedures Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry Qualification High school diploma or equivalent Previous medical office, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Customer service-oriented mindset Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail Willingness to learn and grow Pass background check and drug screen

Work Environment:
Primarily office work with frequent interaction with patients and healthcare professionals 8:30am to 5:00pm M-Th 8:30am to 3:30pm
F Education:

Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
