Months, Non-Exempt Position Description:
(primary functions) Supervises all financial affairs, accounting, and reports of Coahoma Community College; supervises all areas assigned by the
President Minimum Requirements:
CPA License and 5 years of executive level progressive financial management experience Master's degree in accounting; accounting experience required; excellent supervisory and management skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as purchasing agent in following the laws of Mississippi and college policies Directs investment of funds Cooperates and assists in the management of the physical plant Determines priorities and implements programs to achieve high productivity levels and to provide management information Directs and manages all personnel in the Business Office and related areas Maintains payroll and files for all employees Supervises auxiliary enterprises as assigned by the President Institutes and maintains an inventory of all college property and equipment Directs and carries out internal audits to meet and maintain proper accounting of all college finances and property Develops systems and procedures to meet and maintain all current business requirements in the most efficient way possible Prepares the proposed budget, working with the deans, directors and other administrative staff or personnel; assists the President in presenting the budgets to the Board of Trustees for approval Monitors and makes reports to aid divisions in staying within their budgets Prepares financial reports as required; apprises the President and Board of Trustees of the financial condition of the college Follows the accounting manual for Mississippi Junior Colleges MCPA and NACLTBO procedures and modifies accounting Systems to comply with changes Performs other duties as assigned by the President Click here to apply online.
