Job Description

We're seeking a Front Office Manager who is passionate about developing people, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence. This is more than a front desk position—it's a leadership role with a clear path toward Assistant General Manager for the right individual. You'll work closely with the General Manager, gaining hands-on experience in hotel operations, financial management, staffing, and leadership. What You'll Do As the Front Office Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the Front Office team while ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional guest satisfaction. You'll spend more time leading people than standing behind the front desk. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and coach Front Desk Associates. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and outstanding guest service. Conduct performance reviews, coaching conversations, and corrective action when necessary. Lead by example while motivating your team to exceed Marriott brand standards. Develop future leaders through mentorship and ongoing training. Guest Experience & Service Recovery Serve as the primary leader for guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery. Empower team members to resolve issues while stepping in for more complex situations. Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction scores to identify opportunities for improvement. Create memorable guest experiences by turning service failures into lasting positive impressions. Operations & Financial Performance Manage the Front Office schedule while maintaining appropriate staffing levels and controlling labor costs. Monitor daily arrivals, departures, room inventory, and occupancy to maximize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, cash handling procedures, and hotel policies. Hotel Leadership Partner closely with the General Manager to achieve hotel goals. Collaborate with Breakfast, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales to ensure seamless operations. Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned, making sound operational decisions. Assist with implementing new procedures, training initiatives, and operational improvements. Become a key member of the hotel's leadership team with opportunities for increased responsibility. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who naturally leads others and takes ownership of results. Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel supervisory or management experience required. Marriott experience is a plus. Strong leadership and coaching abilities. Excellent conflict resolution and guest recovery skills. Experience creating employee schedules and managing labor. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
