Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Support Specialist to provide clerical and office support at our Andalusia Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic . This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, helping ensure efficient daily operations, timely access to crisis services, and a welcoming, person-centered environment for individuals seeking behavioral health care. This role provides essential administrative support to the multidisciplinary crisis team while assisting consumers and families with navigating services in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE
a High School Diploma or equivalent Must possess strong computer and keyboarding skills Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced behavioral health environment Associate's Degree in Office Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS
Must have a current driver's license and have maintained a driver's license for the past three years with an excellent driving record Must be eligible for coverage under center liability insurance and maintain individually held vehicle liability insurance Must successfully pass a background check
Responsibilities:
Provide clerical and administrative support for the Andalusia Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic within the CCBHC care model Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, scanning, document management, and other daily administrative functions Support intake and access-to-care processes to help individuals receive timely behavioral health crisis services Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in compliance with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and CCBHC guidelines Provide professional and compassionate assistance to consumers, families, staff, and visitors Collaborate with clinical, nursing, crisis, and other multidisciplinary team members to support coordinated and efficient service delivery Maintain office supplies, forms, resources, and other materials necessary for continuous clinic operations Assist with transportation or other program-related duties as assigned and appropriate Support continuity of care by helping facilitate communication, referrals, and connections to appropriate services
Work Environment:
Work in a fast-paced Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic providing services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on immediate access, stabilization, and connection to ongoing care Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment that supports the goals of the CCBHC crisis care continuum ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid AL driver's license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
